We want to be missionaries.....

Wow - life is exciting! Thirteen days left before we enter the MTC. We are doing the final packing so that everything will be ready to go before August 11. We were told that there is no family meeting for Senior Missionaries, and they discourage family from coming to the MTC. We finish our training on Thursday, August 21 at 4pm. Friday the 22nd will be a chance to do laundry, haircuts and say our goodbyes for 12 months. Saturday morning, we'll hit the road. We are so excited to spend Saturday night with Russ, Sharla and McKai in their new home in Highlands Ranch, near Denver as we journey to Washington, DC.
Thanks for your love and support!

Reporting live from Highlands Ranch, CO--We sure enjoyed having Mom and Dad visit us in Highlands Ranch on their way to Washington DC. They sure look sweet with their missionary tags. Hopefully Dad won't get tired of his companion and request a transfer (just kidding!).
Their truck was very full! I don't think they had any room left--not even for another pair of socks. We could tell they were ready for their mission and were definately in for a great experience in the DC temple. They left our house a little after 11 today traveling east toward Kansas. We tried to get them to keep the BYU cougar flags inside the truck as they were going through Jayhawk country. Don't know if they will or not :)
Seriously, they look like missionaries, they act like missionaries, and they have that "just out of the MTC" feeling about them! We sure wish them well on their journey. It sure is great having parents on a mission!

Love ya,
Russ, Sharla, and McKai

Well Said Russ! I thought it was the neatest thing to see Mom and Dad with their Tags.
